The HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) is the official Mandarin Chinese certification exam organised by the Chinese Ministry of Education. It is the most widely recognised Chinese language certificate in the world — equivalent to the DELF for French or the DELE for Spanish. HSK1 covers 150 basic words for elementary communication.
